4th BISEPS Cross Border Task Force | 14/12/2017 | Ostend, Belgium

1 Dec

In the framework of our project, we often encounter the opportunities and challenges of electricity sharing among companies. As electricity sharing is an important element of the BISEPS approach towards the creation of energy synergies in business clusters, we organize a BISEPS cross border task force (CBTF) on 14/12/2017 on this specific topic.

On this meeting we aim to provide clarification on the legal frameworks in the different Interreg 2 Seas countries (France, the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium) concerning electricity sharing. There will, moreover, be time for a discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of the different policies on electricity sharing. To support the discussion we will illustrate the results of two different tools working on this topic, among which the BISEPS tool. We plan to use the conclusions of this discussion to formulate policy recommendations on the topic of electricity sharing.
