About

What?

BISEPS will enable the adoption of midscale sustainable energy technologies in business clusters, increasing their energy profits and reducing the CO2 emission of businesses, thereby contributing to the achievement of the EU 2020 energy efficiency target.

How?

A new generic tool will be developed. The BISEPS-tool will enable the identification of energy synergy potential in business clusters and the calculation and implementation of optimal energy solutions. This tool will be developed through a learning-by doing approach. Five business parks, in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the UK, will serve as living labs for testing and improving the tool.

Who?

The BISEPS-tool will serve as a simple instrument for business park managers and developers aiming to increase the sustainable energy use in their park.

What’s new?

The focus on business clusters, instead of individual businesses is innovative and promising. Economies of scale will facilitate the implementation of midsize sustainable energy, thereby unlocking sustainable energy potential.
