The West Flanders Development Agency (POM West-Vlaanderen) implements the social-economic policy of the province of West Flanders. POM West Flanders initiates, coordinates and realizes activities and projects focusing on sustainable entrepreneurship, business infrastructure, transport & logistics, innovation and international business support. The aim is to reinforce West Flanders as an internationally orientated, dynamic, competitive and innovative region with a positive working climate and an attractive environment.
POM is an active and recognized partner in business park management and all aspects of energy (energy efficiency, renewables, district heating, ESCO, hydrogen and fuel cells…). The BISEPS-tool and the results of the Living Labs will be useful for multiplication in other business clusters in West Flanders, in line with the POM West Flanders ‘Westdeal Strategy’. A main objective of ‘Westdeal’ is the development of ‘the Business Park of the Future’.
Role of POM in the BISEPS-project: POM coordinates, together with WVI, the living lab Mid West Flanders and coordinates the development of the BISEPS-tool.
