From September, employees of the Industrial zone Waregem Zuid – one of the BISEPS living labs – can use the brand new shuttlebus from the station to their working place and back. The initiative of the business park is a response to the request of the businesses. A survey among the employees showed the need for such a shuttle service.
This initiative will allow the businesses to reduce their CO2 emissions with 95.700 kg per year! Moreover, the plan is to replace the diesel bus with an electrical vehicle by the summer of 2019. This is, what is called, growing green!
